The reason for the "irregular shape" of buildings

This unusual design was made by the Lin family to make sure future roads wouldn't go through the house, following the city plans during the Japanese rule.

The Lin family’s team spirit

The stairs symbolize family reunion for the Lin family. More than 40 family members used them to pray to their ancestors on the third floor.

Leased to Starbucks

The Lin House was leased to Starbucks due to the high cost of restoring the building after it was recognized as a historical site. This decision also reflects the owner's wisdom.
